How do I shape a round neckline?

A round neck typically binds off the centre 30-40% of neck stitches at once, then decreases the remaining stitches on each side over several rows. The decreases are usually faster at first (every row) then slower (every other row) to create a smooth curve.

How deep should a neckline be?
