How does the percentage system work?

For a yoke sweater, the yoke depth is about 25% of the chest circumference. Body length is not a percentage of the chest: EZ takes the actual measured length to the underarm. Together these produce a classic, well-proportioned sweater.

Absolutely. EPS percentages are a starting point. Wider sleeves might use 40% instead of 33%. A wider neckline might use 45-50%. A turtleneck uses the same 40% but adds height. Adjust to fit your body and design.

Enter your total stitch count and the desired percentage. For example, if your body is 200 stitches and you want the upper arm to be 35%, enter 200 and 35 to get 70 stitches.

Does EPS work for children and babies?

The proportions need slight adjustment. Children have proportionally larger heads (neck 45-50%) and shorter arms. Babies need even larger neck openings. The basic approach still works but adjust the percentages.
